THE BOOK CAVE SHUTS ITS COVERS: The final episode of “The Book Cave” hit the interwaves last Thursday.

Ric Croxton and Art Sippo wrapped up their podcast “about books, comics, pulps, movie serials, old time radio and TV series” with its 300th episode. Guests included Bruce Rosenberger of the KomicsKast podcast, and Tom and Ginger Johnson of Echoes fame.

The podcast began in December 2008 and over the years has featured a variety of interviews, reviews and commentaries. In addition to the regular “Book Cave” episodes, Ric and Art have posted 41 “Panel Fest” episodes, recordings of panels at PulpFest beginning in 2012.

PULP MAGAZINE PROJECT HITS 300: The online Pulp Magazine Project uploaded 10 issues of the pulp Adventure over the weekend. With those, its online digital collection hit 300 issues from 85 different pulp titles.

The latest Adventure issues date from 1911 through 1925.

You’ll find plenty of good reading at the Project.

MEET FRANK R. PAUL: Tim DeForest, proprietor of Comics, Old Time Radio and Other Cool Stuff blog, author and circulation manager at Ringling College of Art and Design’s library, has put together a short video on pulp artist Frank R. Paul for the library.

Tim also has posted other videos, including short profiles of artists Norman Saunders and J. Allen St. John, on the college library’s YouTube channel.
