Bits of pulp: Links, Tarzan, a passing

GONE MISSING: Well, it looks as though John Olsen‘s “The Shadow in Review” website wasn’t the only victim of Comcast’s elimination of its personal web pages.

If you looked through ThePulp.Net recently, you might have noticed quite a few links with strikethroughs, which indicated they are broken. Many were Comcast sites, such as Scott Cranford‘s Doc Savage FAQ, and a number of pulp pages run by Clark Holloway.

Please let me know if your website fell victim to Comcast and has been moved to a new URL. Those links will be updated as soon as possible.

"Jungle Tales of Tarzan"Of course, if your pulp website isn’t link to from one of our pages (or if you know of a pulp website that isn’t), please let me know that, too.

TARZAN IN REVIEW: Airship27‘s “Air Chief,” Ron Fortier, has posted a great review of the new graphic novel of Jungle Tales of Tarzan.

Michael Hudson of Sequential Pulp spearheaded the project, which features a variety of illustrators adapting a collection of 12 Edgar Rice BurroughsTarzan short stories. It was published by Dark Horse Books.

The stories in Jungle Tales of Tarzan originally appeared in the pulp magazine Blue Book between September 1916 and August 1917, before being collected and published as a book in 1919.

You can read Ron’s review on his blog Pulp Fiction Reviews.
