Fanzines Non-fiction Review

‘Pulp Fan’ #2

'Pulp Fan' #2I had previously posted on the first issue of a new pulp fanzine from Jim Main, Pulp Fan. The first issue came out in December 2017. Now we get the second issue, dated Summer 2018. The focus this time is Doc Savage!

Printed on slick paper with color covers (inside and out), the rest is black and white, but with more artwork. It’s a very nice package. We get a lot of artwork, both new and reprinted (various covers). The rest is some fiction and non-fiction.

From Link Hullar are two pieces. One is an interview with Will Murray. It’s very interesting, as we learn of some plans for works from Murray, which I can’t wait for. We get a short Doc story from Link, when Doc is in his 60s.

Another article looks at the Doc works of Philip José Farmer.

It’s another great work from Jim. No idea when we’ll see the next issue. I hope we’ll have another issue. Again, to obtain a copy, you’ll need to contact Jim. Drop him an email or get on his Facebook page.
